Video / Animation
Video flows, site specific and commissioned video works that span the progression of Mer's production through the various phases of the collaborative artist, 0rphan Drift; reflecting the increasing use of affected liquid imagery since moving to Capetown, and recent technical shifts that incorporate animation into the video pieces. This has occurred in conjunction with the development of hybrid collages in works on paper.
Exhibitions
The exhibitions included here showcase works made before the collaborative artist 0rphan Drift became Mer's artistic entity in 1995, and resumes in 2006 after a decade of driftworks. Current exhibitions highlight a continuation of concerns in the artist's work that have evolved in response to her move away from the urban singularity that is London and to shifts in her cultural concerns - from cyberpunk to global warming and evolutionary possibility.
